Although the concert is free, guests are encouraged to bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items for distribution to needy Long Islanders through Long Island Cares, the food bank founded by Chapin that works to relieve hunger on Long Island. Over the years, the concerts have raised about four tons of food and several thousand dollars for the nonprofit organization.

Performers include Gathering Time, Josh Joffen, Debra Lynne & Chris Tursi, MediaCrime, Christine Solimeno, Frank Walker, Robin Eve, Folk Goddesses, Cecilia Kirtland, Kendall & Korb, Kenny Forgione and Grand Folk Railroad. Newcomers to the show this year will be Rorie Kelly, Naomi Margolin and female alt-rockers Jackknife Stilletto, with a couple of possible surprises to be announced.
