Bio

"I'm thrilled to be working with my longtime friends Katie, Jeff, and Joe. I've played in many other bands with all of them before, but this time we're doing original material. I loved playing covers, but here I get a chance to see how my experiences have influenced me over the years. In Dead cover bands like Roses Cantina and After Dark, I learned to improvise like Phil Lesh. In Phish bands like Bathtub Gin, I learned funk, a la Mike Gordon. But, if you listen carefully you might be able to hear some of my other favorites like Jack Cassady (Hot Tuna), John Entwistle (The Who), James Jamerson (Motown), and of course the legendary Glenn Cornick (Jethro Tull). It's a real blast to make exciting fresh sounds that draw on all my experiences and let me create my own space in the music."

"I want to thank my wife Jeannine and my sons Roy and Alex for their unwavering support and enthusiasm. I have never appeared on Law and Order."
